Grammy's moved next year.

Next year's Grammy Awards will be held at L.A.'s Staples Center on Jan. 31, a week earlier than this year's kudocast.
One reason for next year's shuffle -- which is not expected to be permanent -- is that CBS, longtime broadcaster of the Grammys, has the Super Bowl on Feb. 7. The Olympics also begin on NBC soon thereafter, so moving later wasn't an option, especially with the Oscars also set for late February on ABC.

As a result of the shift, the eligibility period for voting will be shortened by one month, lasting from Oct. 1 to Aug. 31.

The usual week's worth of fashion, education and philanthropic events leading up to the kudocast will remain in place, the Recording Academy said.

The date of the Grammy nominations announcement will be disclosed soon, the org said.
